Disability Insurance: For the white-collar player who can't seem to hang up the boots!
HEALTH INSURANCE: If you don't have it, you're an Idiot!
The basic problem with health insurance in the US is that companies can't compete across state lines, since each state has it's own set of unique laws. It's bullshit. If you live in NJ, NY, NH, MA, or Vermont, don't even bother calling me, I won't work with anyone in those states because of the insurance laws.
The web savvy can find a quick, state-specific quote here, but if you want something personalized, I'll need your bday, zip code and a monthly budget.
If you're already paying for health insurance, are you taking advantage of a Health Savings Account, or HSA? If you don't have an HSA, I'll bet you're paying too much. Want more beer money? I blog a lot about HSAs. HMOs and PPOs will be gone in 5 years, so I'd jump on the HSA bandwagon now.
I had health insurance, but was paying too much for it. BMK sorted me out with coverage for less than two-thirds the price. And I've put it to good use with a dislocated elbow and a slipped disc in the past season, all of it covered. BMK has gone to bat for me with the insurance company every time I've needed him. I'm glad to have him on my team.

ACCIDENT MEDICAL INSURANCE: Cash to pay bills caused by Props!
This plan simply pays cash for your medical bills. (Use CA to quote) You can use this to pay your deductible, thus supplementing your existing insurance.
You can use this for your "out-of-town" teammates.
Lasty, if can't qualify for health insurance due to a pre-existing condition, or simply can't afford a regular plan, this will at least protect you for minor injuries.
Cover ranges from $2500 a year ($24.95/month for an individual) to $10,000 a year ($54.95/month for an individual), with a $100 deductible per incident. So if you have a $2,000 deductible, you can ensure you've got the cash to cover it for an extra 25 bucks a month. Ask me how you can also write off this expense on your taxes!

Disability Insurance covers loss of income if you can't work due to injury or sickness. This is can be used to cover individual income, or business overhead, etc. DI is amazingly complicated, requiring multiple phone calls, and conversations. Also, If you're not in California, I will refer you out to a local agent.
As an independent contractor and a rugby player, Kevin's insurance package was a godsend: no more waiting at the County General Hospital, no more scrounging for money to cover basic health expenses, no more worrying if the next ruck would break my leg. Here was comprehensive health coverage at a reasonable price!
I was initially wary of a non-traditional plan, but Kevin has been there every step of the way to answer my questions and help me through dealing with the health care industry beauracracy. With my RuckingInsurance health plan, I can play rugby with the confidence that no matter what, I'm covered. Thanks Big Money Kev!
